Englewood, CO - 12 Jan 2013MeteoStar, in collaboration with our parent company, Sutron Corporation, has been awarded the contract to replace the Thule Air Force Base TAMSU system. Replacement will consist of 7 new Automated Weather Stations, which will be integrated and visualized on MeteoStar's LEADS® interactive GIS Mapping System (iGM®) and LEADS® Version 6. Meteorologists at Thule Air Force Base will use their LEADS® system to support day-to-day operations in Greenland and Air Force operations around the world. Delivery is set for summer 2013!

Wallops Island, VA - 5 Jan 2013MeteoStar is pleased to announce that a successful LEADS® site acceptance test has been performed at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility (WFF). The newest enhancements and upgrades will support WFF's launch operations. The WFF Weather Office capabilities now include the ability to detect and warn on lightning strikes, which also includes a dense, local lightning detection system installed by Earth Networks. This data is ingested into WFF's LEADS® system and displayed using MeteoStar's LEADS® interactive GIS Mapping System (iGM®). WFF Meteorologists are able to interrogate individual lightning strikes while having the ability to overlay pertinent weather data.
