IPS MeteoStar has been a leader in the environmental analysis, display and product distribution systems for the meteorological, aviation and hydrology community since 1987.  We offer our Leading Environmental Analysis and Display System (LEADS) product set. LEADS is an advanced set of scalable tools specializing in weather, water and environmental monitoring solutions.  Our products are used in a variety of markets to provide real-time weather situational awareness, forecasting solutions for decision support and emergency responders and environmental air quality data collection coupled with EPA reporting systems. IPSM not only offers a comprehensive set of forecaster tools, but can provide global data sets and training done by professionals for professionals. The IPSM customer base includes applications for aviation, hydrology, weather, transportation and the military.

Because of the investments made by Lockheed, AFWA, IPSM and IPSM’s commercial customers, the LEADS software has become the most responsive, modern and powerful weather software in the world. It is also one of the least expensive commercial packages of its type. The LEADS software can be provided on Personal Computers (PCs) running NT, Linux or Sun Solaris, and on Unix workstations running Sun Solaris, SGI IRIX or HP UX. The LEADS software interfaces with all major weather sources (World Meteorological Organization (WMO), weather centrals, radar, geostationary and polar satellites, lightning, NOAAPort, etc.) as well as with local sensors and all AFWA data sources and outputs. The software includes an embedded web server, and can store data in all major commercial formats (e.g., to deliver weather products to customer web servers). The LEADS software also provides a complete suite of tools for manually building products, for automated product generation and for product distribution. In short, the LEADS software meets all requirements for most major weather systems today.
